FLORAL PARK POOL
HEALTH & SAFETY RULES 2012
 

1.    Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult who will remain in attendance and be
       responsible for the actions of the children.
2.    All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.  Persons having skin lesions, inflamed eyes,
       mouth, nose or ear discharges or having any type of bandage or adhesive tape on their body shall not
       be permitted to use the pool.
3.    "Water Baby" diapers (swim pants) must be worn by babies and toddlers.
4.    Ball playing, running, pushing, throwing others into the pool, use of profane language or any other
        behavior which causes annoyance or is deemed dangerous is prohibited.
5.     Only persons dressed in bathing attire without shoes will be permitted on lower deck area around
        pool.  No cutoffs permitted in pool.  Bathing suits must be worn when in the pool.  Only white
        T-shirts are permitted to be worn in the pool.
6.     Alcoholic beverages shall not be brought into or consumed on the premises or parking lots.
7.     There is NO SMOKING on Pool grounds.  We are a smoke-free facility.
8.     For safety reasons, the use of swimming or diving gadgets such as diving masks, snorkel tubes,
        flippers, water wings, rubber tubes, or any type of personal flotation devices, are not permitted in
        the pool.  Bathing suits with built-in flotation devices may be permitted.
9.     Valuables should be secured in the lockers located outside the bathrooms.  The village assumes no
        responsibility for lost or stolen articles.
10.    Reserving or holding of chairs and tables for patrons who are not present is prohibited.
11.   Gum and glass items are not permitted on the pool premises. 
12.   The picnic area is the only area where food will be permitted.  Passes will be taken for the violation
        of this rule.
13.   Only radios with earphones will be permitted on the pool premises.  No other sound or music devices
        will be permitted.
14.    Personal lounge chairs will be permitted on grass area on either side of the back deck only.  Any
        chairs or tables that are brought in are at owner's risk.  Pool chairs may not be moved.
15.    Baby carriages, strollers, and coolers are only permitted on the upper pool deck in the picnic area.
16.    Only one person at a time will be permitted on each diving board.  Divers must swim to the nearest
        ladder upon surfacing.
17.    Diving is at swimmer's own risk.  No diving from the sides of the pool at any time.
18.    Lifeguards are required to enforce and maintain all regulations for your protection.
19.    No motor vehicles will be permitted to park, stop, or stand except at the parking area designated
        for that purpose.
20.    Membership cards may be revoked if presented by anyone other than the person to whom issued as
        well as for failure to comply with all sanitary and safety rules and any other regulations specified
        for administration of the pool facilities.
21.    Skate boards, roller blades, bicycles and scooters are not permitted on the pool complex or building.
22.    The Pool Director shall be the absolute authority at the pool.
 

The foregoing rules are designed for your enjoyment and safety. 
They will be supplemented or amended as may be found necessary.
