Season:  Official Opening Day - Saturday, June 14
         Official Closing Day - Monday, September 1

Saturday Night Special:  Every Saturday night beginning June 28 through August 16, the pool will remain open
                           until 9:45 pm.  Come down and enjoy the EXTRA hour of pool time with family and friends.


 

SPECIAL EVENTS

Family Theme Nights:
 Bring the family down for an evening of music, fun, and games based on the theme of the night.  Pizza orders will be taken and water activities will be available.  6:00 - 9:00 pm		 Centennial Pool Dance: Dance into the night at this "Adult's Night Out."  Bring your own table, chairs, food and refreshments.  Attendees 21 year of age and over only.  Limited guests.  Friday, July 11.  Tickets/reservations required.  7:00 -11:00 pm.
No Glass Items.  Pool closes at 5:00 pm
Lending Library:  Come and relax by the pool with some of your favorite reads.  Enjoy a great mystery novel or get ahead with your summer reading.  We have reading lists from all of the local elementary schools.  Contact the Pool Main Office for more details. Bob McVeigh Swim-A-Thon:  Boys and girls receive pledges from friends and residents to swim laps.  All proceeds go to the Association for the Help of Retarded Children (AHRC). 
Saturday, July 12.
Senior Citizen Days:  Senior citizen pool members will have a section of the pool and deck area closed for their use.  Bingo games, free coffee and danish will be provided by D&J Refreshments (while supplies last).  Senior citizen pass must be presented.  Monday July 7, Monday, August 11 (9:00-11:00 am) and Tuesday, September 2 (Senior Picnic - 11:00 am - 4:00 pm) Grandparents' Day: 
Sunday, July 13 and Sunday, August 3.
All grandparents will be admitted free when accompanied by a member.
Moonlight Movies:  Pool-side videos of the latest releases and all-time classis children's movies the whole family can enjoy.  Check at the Pool Office and watch for posters for movie listings.  Enjoy a Kid's Combo Meal of either a hamburger, hot dog, chicken fingers or pizza served with fries and a soda for $5.00 from D&J Refreshments.  July 10 & 24. Teen Luau Splash Party:  Pool-side water activities for teenage members only.  Food and refreshments available.  Wednesday, July 16 from 7:00 - 10:00 pm.  FEE:  $5.00 per teen. 
Pool closes at 5:30 pm.
Rain date:  Wednesday, July 23
Top Your Own Sundae:
Make your own homemade ice cream sundae with all your favorite toppings. 
Friday, July 18 and Friday, August 1.
Begins at 6:00 pm (while supplies last).		 Swim Team Awards Night:  Trophies will be awarded for outstanding swim team members followed by a party for swim team members and their families.
Thursday, August 7 at 7:00 pm.

My Tot and Me:
Be in the water with your younger children and familiarize them with a pool environment.  Begins Monday, June 30 and ends August 4.
(Mondays 9:00 - 9:30 am or 7:00-7:30 pm)		 Story Time for Young Children:
Hour long story time for children every Wednesday starting July 2 and ending August 6 from 11:00 am until 12 noon.
Provided by the Floral Park Public Library.
Residents' Day:  Sunday, July 6 and Sunday, August 10
Non-member Inc. Village of Floral Park residents may enter the pool by paying the guest fee.		 Poolside Playmates:  Parent/caregiver and child participate in a variety of indoor activities together.  Activities encourage language development and social interaction.  Sessions include music, movement, stories, and a simple craft.  Fridays, July 11 to August 15.  For ages 2 and 3 (by July 11, 2008) Additional fee required.  First come, first served basis.  Limited spots available.
50's & 60's Roll Back Nights:
1950's Roll Back - Thursday, July 17.
1960's Roll Back - Thursday, August 14
Hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, sodas and ice cream.  Prices to be determined.  Sponsored by D&J Refreshments.  Snack bar will close at 5:00 pm and
re-open at 6:00 pm
